Ok. So it happened to me. I lost my job. Well, I guess I just have to deal with that now don't I. It took them two years, 4 managers and a complete lack of organizational development to realize I shouldn't be working there. Well, off to the searching world. In my experience, job searching has always been difficult. Trying to find the right job to apply for can be bothersome. Here are some tips I have been using to help me. Apply for the jobs I know I have at least 90% of the what they are looking for. I never apply for something I know I can't do or at least would have to lie about in order to get the job. This will come back to bite you later. Next, I have been contacting old friends and asking for help. Never feel you can't ask for help.
I just found out today that I didn't get a position for a company where I felt the interview went very well except with the VP. He didn't make good eye contact with me and didn't even ask me any questions. He acted has if he didn't really have anything to do with hiring me and that all of that would be the responsibility of the manager. Then to find out I didn't get the job because of the VP. Wierd. Anyways. Off to send out more resumes.
